SPRINGFIELD — Bettors wagered $1.8 million in the newly legal sportsbook at MGM Springfield in February, according to figures released Wednesday by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission . At the other two casinos in the state, the handle — an industry term for the total amount bet — was $16.9 million at Encore Boston Harbor and $7 million at Plainridge Park Casino. The figures from all three in-person casino sportsbooks are included in the Massachusetts Gaming Commission's monthly report of casino revenue.
